SCOTT SESSION

Session rods bring together high line speed, exceptional loop control, and a light and lively feel in hand - and they are now 4x more fun! We tested it, honestly. We even did scientific studies too...

The Session loads easily and it will respond to subtle inputs from the angler.

Session rods feature Scott’s Carbon Link epoxy resin system, Multi-Modulus lay ups, ARC2 reinforcement, ReAct, and Natural Finish blanks.

Session rods are handcrafted in Montrose, Colorado, using the finest components with milled aluminium reel seats with type 2 anodize and wood inserts, silicon nitride stripping guides, and Super grade cork handles.

Available from 8 to 10 feet, in four piece configuration for 3 weight to 8 weight lines.

Simms G3 Guide Boots

I am a massive fan of Simms G3 guide boots and just as my old pair were about to retire, the new version made it out on the market. There was no doubt about getting them. I haven't clocked any crazy amount of kilometers yet, but so far they have taken me through freshwater, saltwater, handled backcountry terrain like a breeze and also did pretty well as a running boot when I had to run 6 km back to the car on one trip. Maaaaan do they feel good. Super light weight, comfortable fit, great traction, but what is the most important to me is the incredible ankle support. One would think that the lightweight boot might sacrifice a bit on stability, but the wide foot base and high padded collar makes this boot a rare exception. They may not be the cheapest but in the long run it's money well spent... Oh and I almost forgot to mention that of any boots I have previously owned they are the most easiest to clean! And that's a big plus as we all know how crucial it is to check clean and dry! Tight lines, DTD

BUT I ONLY BROUGHT 3WT BRO....

Today the plan was to fish small creeks and a section of main river which holds good numbers of small trout! We went light: Airflo 3wt fiberglass rod, 5x Airflo tippet and no backing.... Oopsss who is sitting over there... Large trout, Well, lets do this... what could possibly go wrong :-)

SIMMS G4 HIP PACK

Have you seen the new range of Simms G4 packs yet?? I have been using the G4 pro Hip Pack for couple of weeks and can highly recommend! I was hesitant at first as I loved the previous model and I don`t like to replace things that work well for me but after few trips with this guy I like him more and more!

We all know that there is nothing better then fishing light but still being able to carry everything you need. If this sounds like your style of fishing get your hands on one of these bad boys!

So here is a bit about what`s got me loving this pack:

*The main compartment features two large pockets and two smaller pockets, all stowed away with handy magnet double zipper with for easy one hand access of your tools. The main compartment stretches quite well, so 4 fly boxes, two reels, sunnies and few smaller bits and pieces no biggie

*Stretch mesh pocket - Great for BEER as it`s situated bellow so don`t forget to wade deep to keep them chilled! I even fitted two bottles in!

*Working dock station that folds down when opened - (large pocket inside + removable tippet and floatant carrier

*Two bellow hip belt pockets - Great for storage of smaller items! My car keys feel really safe there!!

*Exterior compression straps - Yup you are thinking the same... MORE BEER.... well or a jacket or extra fly rod.

* Many other handy features (soft velcro patches, magnetic tool ports for tool access & storage ,removable compression straps, super easy to adjust!

*Hidden stash pocket - Great for storing toilet paper, keeps it dry and nicely folded! You never know when it hits you!

*Taped seams on the pack bottom to keep your stuff dry when cooling your beer!

SUPER LIGHT, 12 L STORAGE AND IT`S BLACK!!!!! Well you can get Boulder colour but why would you..

Get yours from Manic boys

I am honoured to have a shot for Waterworks-Lamson advertisement and to be photographed in another one for Airflo Fishing in this special issue 43 of Fish and Game New Zealand Magazine!
